This is the best week I have experienced in a long teaching career.

Laura had the time devoted entirely to her doing things she enjoyed and at her own pace in a friendly and relaxed environment. It is very rare to be able to be in, and enjoy, a complete multi-sensory environment that can enable Laura to use all her senses and be given the time and attention to fully benefit from everything.  A relaxing and enjoyable experience for both child and parent.

Bamboozle’s ability to respond to the students and maintain their interest was quite remarkable.  Always working with the students’ ideas, responses and reactions, they created a real feeling of ownership for them.  It is rare for such students to get the opportunity to work with professionals at this sort of level and it was a truly meaningful experience.

We all so thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, in a magical environment with people who understood us, and where we didn’t feel different or silly.

Bamboozle finds ways to communicate with a child trapped inside her own body, unable to speak or move; and they create happy memories for families whose children have short life expectancy.

We have been deeply impressed with the sheer talent and professionalism of the Bamboozle Team. Their respect for the dignity and individuality of our students is manifest in their sensitive approach.

The contribution Bamboozle has made to Yeoman Park School is significant and valued by both our students and staff.
The work wholly supports our belief in a ‘pupil centred approach’ and has successfully given our students an inspiring and creative experience to which they have made a positive contribution.
This work has been with a group of pupils whose profound complexity isolates and restricts their experiences in all aspects of their lives.
I have been personally moved to see our young people achieve a level of engagement and enjoyment that is not frequently witnessed in school. The creative experienced was truly shared and valued by everyone.
The Bamboozle artists showed all pupils (and staff) an inspiring level of respect.
Life in Special Schools is busy and demanding. The opportunity to observe and reflect on such skilful practice has re-charged my personal enthusiasm and focus on the importance of fun engagement and recognising the value of each student’s contribution.

Bamboozle has been in our School working in partnership with us.  This innovative research project brings together educators and creative practitioners.
We have been deeply impressed with the sheer talent and professionalism of the Bamboozle Team.  Their respect for the dignity and individuality of our students is manifest in their sensitive and appropriate communication approaches.  Bamboozle has sought to marry the aesthetic but practical approach to the challenge we have set them; to help us discover some radically new entry points for learning for our ‘hardest to reach’ students with ASD.  The artists … are engaged in developing a wider practice and approach over a period of time – perhaps years”.
As educators we may not have the skill level of the Bamboozle company members but we in accord with their underlying principles and discovering new ones through a genuine dialogue!.
We are excited at the thought of possible outcomes and will be welcoming Bamboozle into our School for performances and dialogue.

A fantastic opportunity to be a part of the course, it has really made me think and shall change in some ways and enhance the professional practice that goes on in the classroom.  A big thank you!!!
