Bamboozle Beyond 18+ Sessions

A journey through time

Starting Monday 23rd October 2017

Bamboozle has been working with young people with PMLD for over twenty years. Over the years, the children and young people we worked with were becoming young adults, and when they reached the age of 18 and left school, parents were letting us know that the provision for their young people was limited. We wanted to address this.
In 2014, Bamboozle started running our first multi-sensory sessions for young people aged 19 and over as part of our Family Focus Project, funded by BIG Lottery. These were fortnightly sessions based on different themes such as literature, history and travel.
Bamboozle Beyond is our current programme funded by People’s Postcode Lottery.
A principle aim of Bamboozle Beyond is to support parents and carers in continuing to offer their own multi-sensory experiences as their young people move into their adult lives.
Sessions are 2 hours, and include time for parents and support workers to meet and chat, relax and pick up ideas for activities that can be done at home.
Each session offers a mix of music, drama, tactile, visual and kinetic experiences to ensure the young people are offered a truly multi-sensory experience.
We plan each session to provide a meaningful, accessible and enjoyable time for all involved. Our sessions are delivered by Bamboozle’s highly skilled artists in community and arts venues in Leicester and Loughborough.
Due to high demand for places, are sessions are currently full, however if you would like to get in touch about attending sessions in the future, please to not hesitate to get in touch.
If you would like to talk to us about the sessions, please contact our Family Development Worker, Laura Guthrie:
